Winners of numerous awards at the 10th jubilee camping convention

At this year’s 10th jubilee Croatian camping convention, organized by the Croatian Camping Association (Kamping udruženje Hrvatska – KUH), the company Jadranka kampovi won several awards, while Đulio Delise, who was until recently the company’s director, won the lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to camping tourism in Croatia.


This year, Camping Slatina and Camping Čikat again won the Croatian Camping Association’s and the Croatian Auto Club’s award, ranking them among the 50 campsites in Croatia branded as “Croatia's Best Campsites”. In addition, for the sixth consecutive year, Camping Čikat from Mali Lošinj was the winner of the “Naj kamp” (“the best campsite”) award in the larger Kvarner campsites category, awarded by the most eminent Slovenian web portal Avtokampi, sponsored by the Slovenian company Adria. More than 34,000 guests have participated in the selection process, choosing the best campsites in Croatia and Slovenia in several categories, and Camping Čikat was the one to be declared the best among very strong competitors.

The recognition for continuous investment and improvement of campsites’ offer and services also came from the professionals in the field. Thus, the jury of experts, headed by the president of German ADAC, Stefan Thurn, awarded as many as three awards to the company Jadranka kampovi and Camping Slatina for the most innovative product in as many as three categories:
  • the most innovative marketing product for the Unterwegs magazine design project, in cooperation with the German company Frankia, a luxury campervan manufacturer
  • the most innovative camping product for the Camping Cum Cane project, which facilitated a quality coexistence between dog owning campers and other guests at Camping Slatina on the island of Cres
  • the most innovative project for leisure time was awarded to the project of constructing the first Aquapark at Camping Čikat in Mali Lošinj. The Aquapark covers 6,300 m2 with 2,800 m2 water area with sea water, featuring numerous attractions for children and adults.

In addition to the above awards, Camping Čikat managed to, alongside four other campsites in Croatia, obtain a certification as a campsite suitable for persons with mobility difficulties, “Village for all”, and the certification was conducted by the Italian company V4A.
